The Good

After realizing the fate of the factory is at stake, the four contestants work together to create an amazing candy that hopefully will win the competition.

The Bad

Daisy and Philip both try to steal the secret ingredient that goes into all the chocolate. Miles saw a girl dive underwater and thought she drowned, so he created an afterlife for her.

Ages

9+ is a good age for this book.

My Take

I really liked The Candymakers. It’s an awesome story about four kids coming together to save a candy factory. I also love that it has five different sections, one with each character’s perspective, and then them all together. I would definitely recommend this book.
